Factors.xls was created using the FTS Historical Data Collection Module to collect the price data for the S&P100 stocks having history available from 1970. The security names are specified in row 1 of the spreadsheet and continue across columns from B to V. The Data Collection Module lets you specify what type, Daily, Weekly or Monthly and over what time period. For the current lesson monthly was specified. This data is rows starting from 2 to 383 and covers the period of time from Jan 1, 1970 to October 1, 2001.

To start this lesson launch the Excel spreadsheet factors.xls by double clicking on the hypertext. If you do not have Excel you can still launch this using Internet Explorer as the viewer.
